Once I started expanding my cosmetic dentistry knowledge, I realized that a lot of the times patients’ facial appearance doesn’t match their smile. When we give somebody in, let’s say, their 40s or 50s or 60s, a new smile and their smile looks like there’s somebody that’s 30, but then it’s framed by less than optimal facial appearance, and a lot of times it’s something very simple that we can easily change, like their dynamic wrinkles, we can relax them with the muscle relaxants. Or if they lost some of the volume, we can frame the smile better by adding some filler around that area or stimulate collagen with the laser.
So it just creates a more harmonious overall smile makeover.
