Growing up in a close-knit Greek family in Windsor, Canada shaped Dr. George Gounakis’s dedication to helping others. After completing his biology degree at the University of Windsor, he headed south to pursue his dental education at Nova Southeastern University College of Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale, graduating in 2001. He then completed his fellowship in periodontology in 2004.
While many consider dental implants purely cosmetic, Dr. Gounakis knows they offer far more than just esthetic benefits. These advanced tooth replacements restore full function, allowing patients to speak clearly and enjoy their favorite foods with confidence. Nothing brings Dr. Gounakis more joy than hearing patients say their implants have transformed their quality of life.

Outside the office, he cherishes time with family and stays active through soccer, travel, and winter snowmobiling trips back home to Canada.
