The difference between a dental crown and dental filling is the amount of tooth structure that needs to be treated or is broken. A filling is very minimal, almost non-invasive restoration of the tooth so the tooth structure that’s affected or being treated is much smaller. A crown is a full coverage of the tooth in all 360 degrees so you can think of it as a complete cover and what it does is it protects the tooth in all three dimensions so it handles the chewing aspect as well as temperatures.
A dental bridge is designed to replace one or two missing teeth using adjacent teeth so if you can think of a traditional architectural bridge you’ll have two different sides that are connected by a bridge and it’s the same in the mouth so you’ll have a tooth on each side of the missing space and then in between you will have a false tooth or pontic and that’s what’s being replaced.
